In the aftermath of the 2016 Flood, the nonprofit Ellicott City Partnership (ECP) disbursed $1.825 million in donations through five separate disaster relief programs to residents, business owners, and property owners in OEC. Administrative costs were absorbed by the ECP. Our town has come a long way in one year with a comeback nearly unheard of after a federally declared disaster.
But the job is not finished …
… Old Ellicott City is still an ongoing construction zone while businesses continue to recover from loss of business activity and inventory lost while closed. Property owners are still rebuilding their historic buildings. This is a recovery that will take years.
What can you do?
By supporting the Ellicott City Partnership you support OEC’s continued comprehensive economic recovery. As a registered Maryland Main Street, the ECP’S mission is to preserve the heritage of OEC while enhancing and creating economic growth. It actively serves the community with five ALL-VOLUNTEER committees dedicated to creating a thriving town.
